Bovey Tracey Methodist Church Hall,

Turn of the A382 into Bovey Tracey. Fore Street is the main street in the town and the Methodist Church is on your right hand side on the corner of Station Road. The hall is situated behind the church, adjacent to a very reasonably priced pay and display car park.

NEXT MEETING

Tuesday 11th September, 7.30p.m

 'Judges & Experts Panel'. A demonstartion of judging techniques by three local horticultural judges, and a question and answer session.

Plus.....Raffle, Plant & Produce Sale, and Veg of the Meet contest.

Please bring along any vegetable you have grown for this contest. Prize cards will be available on the day, with points added up over forthcoming meetings for a trophy to be presented at the 2008 AGM.

Contributions for the raffle and sale greatly appreciated.

 


Introducing the

National Vegetable Society

Devon District Association

The NVS Devon District Association, was formed on the 24th February 2007 at Bovey Tracey.

It aims to provide contact with like minded people who are passionate about growing vegetables from throughout Devon, as well as from across the Tamar in Cornwall, parts of Somerset and for anyone visiting our county.

 We intend to provide a varied social calendar, with events such as

  • Talks and lectures.
  • Slideshows and DVD screenings.
  • 'Veg of the Meet' competitions.
  • Annual mini-show.
  • Plant Sales and swaps.
  • Outings to historic kitchen and vegetable gardens.
  • Visits to members gardens and allotments.
  • Trips to garden shows.
  • Fruit and vegetable tasting sessions.
  • Events based on your suggestions.

Why not come along to one of our meetings or events and find out more about the National Vegetable Society. New and prospective members are always welcome.
